I am not prone to spontaneity but there was something oddly attractive about the idea of writing my own blog even if I only thought of it roughly 11 hours ago.  it was the early hours of the morning and I was hooked with the fascinating talents of Daphne Du Maurier. In my ersatz nest consisting of roughly three blankets, two duvets (one of which I stole from the spare room) and about thirteen cushions its unlikely that my sleepy judgement would be one of rationality, but then again since when were the ideas of some of the worlds best novels written with a concept that remotely resembled coherence?

 

I thought it would be apt, therefore, to initiate this blog with some information about myself, because I am sure, on the off-chance that any one is reading this, that you may be curious about the face behind the screen.

 

I am 17 year old female who loves long walks on the beach and romantic candle lit dinners..

 

I could rattle of this generic crap as much as I wanted - selling myself just as one might do on their Tinder profile. Not that I have much experience with tinder - or dating in general. Going to an all-girls catholic grammar school kind of eliminated any chance of that before it could start... But enough with this moping... on with the extravaganza that is my life:

 

I am currently studying A levels - my favourite of which is English literature. I remember, around the age of eight; having always been a bibliophile I became aware of a newfound enjoyment when it came to writing. I would sit in my bedroom writing story after story that I would eagerly hand to my poor year four teacher and watch intently as he was forced to read all ten A4 pages of my latest brain child (soz Mr Matthews).

 

I also study English language, philosophy, and Biology - the latter of which I cannot wait to never see again. It's confusing because I absolutely love the subject and always have but the whole having-to-learn-the-whole-textbook-word-for-word-to-get-an-A thing isn't compatible with my below average memory, :/

 

I am a girl guide and have been since around 4 when I joined rainbows. I'm currently at Rangers and I am a young leader at my local brownie unit which is fun, because I have always considered myself to have the sense of humour of a 7 year old.

 

I could continue rattling off random facts and achievements (of which I have about three) but that would defeat the mystery

 

I would love to try and post on here as much as possible- mostly book reviews or anything of that nature. Although now and again (like the crazy gal I am) I will probably be posting about random and unrelated stuff that is going on in my life, so you can join me in my journey if you so feel the need
